IDX Frame

Internet Data Exchange (IDX) allows Brokerages, through reciprocal agreements, to advertise their active listings on each other's websites, thus heightening exposure. TRREB Members can frame IDX participant listings on their respective websites, for viewing by their clients. Through an interface designed and extended to Members by TRREB, a client visiting the website of a participating TRREB Member or Brokerage can conduct real-time searches for MLS® listings, based on parameters they themselves select. The interface can be used to locate and map prospective listings, as well as for viewing property details.

Brokerages must first opt in. They should complete the IDX (Opt In) License Agreement. Once the Broker of Record has submitted the agreement, then all of that Brokerage's active listings are added to the pool of listings that are available for viewing by all TRREB IDX participants. The pool consists of all the active listings belonging to all of the Brokerages that have opted in. All Members belonging to those firms will see the IDX Management link on their TorontoMLS Info Centre page, and this link provides access to the IDX Administration Tools Interface where their IDX templates can be configured and customized.

The IDX Third Party Information Form only needs to be completed IF a Member is NOT adding the IDX IFRAME themselves but is instead choosing to have a third party do it for them. Once the forms are processed, a staff member from the IT department at TRREB will provide the Member with a confirmation email and will email the access information to the designated third party contact.

Once the TRREB IDX is embedded in your web page, real time, up-to-the-minute searches can be conducted against the TorontoMLS database, using the search criteria fields that have been designated by you for this custom interface.

All of the necessary forms can easily be done online through the TRREB Online Agreement System
